Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 June 2026

Senso ("we", "us", "our") operates the Senso website and mobile applications (the "Service"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it. We keep it short and plain — if anything is unclear, contact us at privacy@senso.coach.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google. We use this solely to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password.

Practice data

We store your responses to practice items, including the answers you submit and whether they were correct. This is necessary to compute your mastery estimates and personalise future practice sessions.

Mastery and progress data

We maintain a mastery model — an estimate of your level across Italian grammar competencies — derived from your practice data. This drives the adaptive selection of practice items.

Usage data

We may collect basic technical data such as the type of device and browser you use, to help us fix bugs and improve the Service. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or analytics services that build cross-site profiles.

2. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.

3. Third-party services

Supabase

Our database and authentication are provided by Supabase, Inc. Your account data and practice data are stored in Supabase-managed infrastructure. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.

Google OAuth

We use Google's OAuth service for sign-in. When you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to the authentication process. We only receive your name and email — we do not request access to your Google account beyond what is needed for authentication.

Amazon Web Services

Our application runs on AWS infrastructure. Data is processed within the European Economic Area where possible. AWS's privacy policy is available at aws.amazon.com/privacy.

4. Data retention

We retain your account data and practice history for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

5. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@senso.coach. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on all database tables, and restricted access to production infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
